The Eastowne Clinical Research Unit is an outpatient space that will facilitate the conduct of clinical research for all Divisions and Centers within the Department of Medicine. The Clinical Research Unit is a new research unit that will be housed in an off campus facility, in the new 6 story multidisciplinary Clinical building. The Eastowne Clinical Research Unit space is uniquely capable of conducting studies in the field of medicine, but will also be able to facilitate a wide range of clinical research studies conducted by investigators within the UNC SOM. This facility integrates research with the clinical care of patients, whereby the participation in research is seamless and easy for the patient. Research visits can either be stand alone, integrated with a scheduled clinical visit as well as a same day visit from a clinical visit.
