Welcome to the High Throughput Sequencing Facility (HTSF), your premier destination for comprehensive library services, NextGen sequencing, and cutting-edge technologies, including long reads. Established in 2008 through funding from the University Cancer Research Fund (UCRF) and the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC), and managed by the UNC School of Medicine, HTSF is at the forefront of applying high-throughput sequencing technology to enrich medicine and basic biological research at The University of North Carolina and beyond.
Our mission is to empower researchers to extract genetic and genomic data from diverse biological materials, aiding in the identification of disease causes and understanding biological complexities. We offer high-quality data generation, technological support, and development of novel applications for current platforms, ensuring researchers have access to state-of-the-art tools for groundbreaking discoveries.
As part of the Integrated Genomics Cores, we collaborate with researchers, students, and their collaborators to drive medical and scientific breakthroughs. Our commitment to excellence extends to supporting all high-throughput sequencing platforms, collaborating with developers for early access to novel technologies, and providing cutting-edge advancements for researchers worldwide. Join us as we unlock the genome's mysteries and pioneer innovative solutions in medicine and biological research.
