The Histology Research Core (HRC) in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at UNC-Chapel Hill offers a variety of histology services, ensuring that specialized techniques are always available for researchers’ project needs. The HRC has the equipment and expertise to produce reliable high-quality tissue sections from a wide variety of organisms, perform special stains, and offer services such as immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization (ISH), and protocol development. The HRC stands apart in its ability to offer a customized approach to histology for difficult, novel, and underdeveloped capabilities.
