Upcoming Holiday Closure: In observance of a holiday, Agilent CrossLab/iLab Operations Software Support Help Desk will be closed during U.S. hours on Monday, January 19th, 2026. During this time, support in the U.S. and Canada will be unavailable. APAC and EU Support will remain open as normal. For urgent matters, please add "Urgent" to your ticket/email subject or press "1" when prompted to escalate a call on the iLab Support phone, and we will prioritize those requests first.
About: The Tissue Culture Facility exists primarily to fulfill UNC Lineberger researchers’ cell culture and related requirements; however, the facility may be used by anyone at UNC or other institutions as long as UNC Lineberger member support capacity is not exceeded.
The TCF has the capability and expertise to respond to the rapidly changing research that relies on in vitro cell culture techniques and materials. Cell culture reagents and molecular biology supplies support is the main function of the TCF. The facility supplies almost any medium, reagent, additive or consumable item required in cell culture and molecular biology research at a deep discount with prompt on-site availability. TCF also has an extensive cell line repository.
Some items not in stock can be ordered for UNC Lineberger members at a discounted rate as compared to standard UNC purchasing channels, and all TCF orders receive free delivery from the vendor to the Tissue Culture Facility .
Cell cryopreservation and storage, liquid nitrogen by liter, mycoplasma testing and str profiling services are also provided.
Over the past three decades, the Tissue Culture Facility (TCF) has consistently strengthened and expanded its scope of services to become the most frequently used and comprehensive shared resource core in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Because the TCF has maintained high standards, expanded its services and products, and been responsive to the needs of UNC Lineberger, it enjoys a positive reputation among its users that has resulted in very high usage and support.
